- Practice in Central Florida/Tampa Bay area includes specializing in commercial and civil litigation. Legal practice has included representation of the insurance industry and its insureds in both property and casualty defense as well as products liability, construction, environmental and medical malpractice. Legal practice has also consisted of defending insureds in civil RICO and Anti-fencing cases. Litigation experience has also consisted of extensive litigation cases involving sovereign immunity and government liability.
- Mr. Pilka now represents insured individuals and businesses in claims against their own insurers when the insurer delays or denies payment in many types of insurance claims involving property insurance.
- Practice has included work as an assistant state attorney for the Juvenile Division of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida and with the firm of Wilson & Sawyer, P.A. in Tampa, Florida specializing in insurance defense and commercial litigation.
