The incident happened in Gainesville on I-75 at a rest stop near the 382-mile marker. The collision forced the car’s front end under the trailer and caused extreme devastation to the passenger compartment.
Two senior adults were in the Tesla. The driver was listed as a 66-year-old woman, and the passenger was a man listed as being 67 years old. Each died because of the crash. No word was given as to whether the truck driver suffered injuries or what caused the woman to collide with the trailer.
