Dense fog is one of many issues that confront drivers in inclement weather. Navigating a Florida road in foggy conditions is challenging and often dangerous. One never knows when tragedy might strike, as it did at approximately 7 a.m. on a recent Sunday.
A 69-year-old man was heading west on US 98 when an eastbound vehicle veered over the divider line and into his path. The man reportedly tried and failed to avert a collision. He suffered severe injuries when the front of the woman’s vehicle smashed into the front corner of his car.
A fatal crash
A 23-year-old woman was behind the wheel of the wayward vehicle. Sadly, she did not survive the accident. Whatever caused her to drift out of the lane may never be known.
